The PA6NL-crew is getting older and the strategy is to improve the station creating less stuff, gear and trouble. For this purpose Remco PG0A/PA3FYM made a high power pack from an old ATF2 transponder (see http://remco.org/pa6nl/driver) to drive our two GS35B amps. Despite heavy testing, one side of the super driver drove the East tube amplifier for 5 seconds and then gave no output at all. Investigations are being performed concerning 'why and how'.   (1/29)
